2010-11 Lady Mustang Basketball Season Begins

Each potential Lady Mustang Basketball player will be receiving an information packet at school tomorrow (Thursday) that will include Try-Out Info, a Team Contract, Player Writing On-Demand Packet, Team Fee Information, a Game Schedule, a Practice Schedule for the entire season, and an athletic packet to be completed (unless they play a fall sport at NOHS). Take a look at everything, and please let the coaching staff know if you have questions.

Lady Mustang Summer Practice Schedule

The following are the summer practice schedule for the Lady Mustangs:


June 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, Dead Period

July 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29

August 3, 4, 5


All practices are in the New Gym and start at 7am (Be in the Gym by 6:45am)

Lady Mustangs 2009/2010 Season Ends

What a great season with many achievements and honors. Starting off with a the best season on record, 14-10!!! Great job! I know coach Grimm will have many more stats to share, so I won't steal his thunder.

All the lady Mustangs stepped up this season! Amanda Mattern and Olivia Raffli represented the senior class with Class! Congratulations to Olivia Raffli and Jennifer Lowe making the All District team. Congratulations to Nicole Bryant who made the All Region team.

If the Lady Mustangs work hard over the summer and work together next year, there is no telling where they will land!

Good Luck Seniors! We'll miss you!

Tough district loss to Oldham County....looking forward to next season already!

Senior Night: Mattern and Raffli say goodbye, and shine!

Amanda Mattern and Olivia Raffli were recognized for Senior Night. They both returned the favor with Olivia's team leading 19 points and Amanda's team leading 10 assists in a victory over North Bullet.

Mustangs Hit Milestone!

The Lady Mustangs hit a record high 13-9 record! After a rough road trip, the Mustangs come home and pick up two nice wins!

North v Beechwood

The JV Lady Mustangs came back from behind and made it a game in OT with a last second shot from Kaylee McCartney. The Mustangs just came up short, but played well against a very fundamental Beechwood team. Here's Mikayla Roach fending off the JV Bears.


The Varsity Lady Mustangs played a very hard fought game against a tough Beechwood team. Meghan Welle fights for a rebound and Olivia has another break out game!

North v Spencer County

Both the JV and Varsity got the victory over a very scrappy Spencer County team. Meghan Welle had a great JV game and our 8th graders got their first action.





Olivia and J-Lo were a great duo in this win!

Oldham County Loss

A very tough loss to an agressive OC team. OC Coach Mullins gave several North players hugs and congradulated them on a great game. He still comes to many North games and supports North athletics.

Great news is we had 2 players with double doubles!! Both Nicole Bryant and Mehgan Welle had great games. North can beat OC, looking forward to seeing them in the districts!!

Whitefield: 61-20 WIN!

Great win against a team that has played well this year. A new found spirit and great defense helped drive us back to the win colunm. Check out this defense!!!

John Hardin: Mustangs stayed in the barn!

John Hardin played a perfect game against the Lady Mustangs. North didn't seem to have an answer.

Walton-Verona: 41-33 Loss

Great effort against this Region 8 power!! We held our own and played with great spirit.

Lady Mustang Christmas Party

The 8-2 Lady Mustangs hang out for a little Christmas cheer! Go Mustangs!

Christmas Tourney 2009: Doss Invitational

The Lady Mustangs took on Fairdale, Atherton and Brown and came out with a 2-1 record. Only Fairdale had the defense to slow the Mustangs down.
